Founded in August 2001 by the government of Quang Tri Province and international NGOs, Project RENEW is a cooperative program dedicated to addressing the two legacies of war – Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and Agent Orange (AO) – remaining in the province since the war ended in 1975. Project RENEW now embraces major pillars of mine action, including UXO Survey and Clearance, Mine Risk Education, Victim Assistance and Disabilities support, with the mission of making Quang Tri safe.
