Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) is developing a program to train 50,000 semiconductor specialists by 2030, aiming to support the sector’s long-term growth, state media reported.
The training will cover 75 fields of study, primarily in technology, engineering, and electronics.
Entry requirements include at least 80% scores in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Students transferring from related fields must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4 and meet an English proficiency level of B1 or higher.
Eighteen universities will receive investment for semiconductor laboratories to enhance research and training. The ministry has also proposed fina🍸ncial support measures, including scholarships, tuition waivers, and dormitory accommodations, to attract students to semiconductor-related fields. (, , , )
